12 370W panels were installed for a total peak output of 4400W. These panels aren’t the usual all black panels, but have standard glass + silver backing. This is more efficient, at the cost of aesthetics, but in a commercial environment the look is less important, especially on a roof like this that can’t be seen from the roadside. This unit is just office & storage, so an array like this with battery storage can supply almost all of the office needs. With most commercial property having a 3 phase supply, it is possible to install up to 11kW of solar panels without National Grid approval.
For this install, there is a GivEnergy inverter and battery. These are reliable, look good in an office setting, and have remote monitoring – allowing for diagnostics to be done quickly in the event of an issue.
