Grid Independence

Solar PV Installations in the UK are usually grid tied. This means all the equipment is connected to your property, which is then connected to the local grid. However we also can offer an off-grid product, using specialist products which are designed to work without an external power signal or grid supply.

While this is less common, there are a few areas when 0ff-grid is a great option. Such as:-

Location of the Property makes a grid connection not possible, or too cost prohibitive
Uninterruptible power requirement – where you need 100% uptime for electricity supply
Maximise your renewable energy usage
Larger systems can be scaled easily without restriction from the local grid.

Off-Grid Advantages

In rural areas, sometimes the cost of a grid connection to a new property can be prohibitive. With off-grid solar PV and battery storage, you can comfortably power your home for almost the entire year, without the large expense of a grid connection. In other areas sometimes a grid connection is unstable, so having your own power production can give you more energy security.

Without a grid connection, you are also not limited under G98 and G99 regulations, which means in some cases you can install much larger systems than would be possible under DNO requirements.

Full Design and Installation Service

We do not offer a supply only product. All of our systems are fully designed and installed by our in-house team to suit your needs. We would need to take a survey of the property or proposed panel locations, along with your usage figures, and we can design, supply, and install the entire system for you. All of systems can be scaled at a later date if required.
